The Celebration of World Carnivals, hosted by Anteaters Abroad, was held on May 22 at Humanities Gateway, Room 1010, at UCI. The event showcased a lot of traditions from the French Carribean and Brazil, including Creole storytelling, carnival dance lessons, and homemade carnival masks. Additionally, many students were able to practice their French and socialize as they enjoyed Carribean and Brazilian specialties from the buffet table. The event was made in order to make students aware that cultures have no physical boundaries and can be easily shared with one another through celebrations.
